 | Saturday, March 19, 2011 HEMBREE PARK IN ROSWELL The Roswell Youth Baseball Association will be commemorating the start of the youth baseball season on Saturday, March 19th with an official opening day ceremony at Hembree Park in Roswell, GA. Roswell Mayor Jere Wood will be participating in the honorary first pitch. The celebration is open to the public as well as to all local businesses to attend and to take part in this time honored tradition. |
The RYBA Board raises money throughout the season to help fund deserving project such as Opening Day as well as many other youth baseball based projects in Roswell. The main source of funding comes through the selling of retail based Discount Cards throughout the season.
This year to help the Roswell Youth Baseball program is Honda Carland and General Manager Mike Mahoney. Honda Carland has graciously donated a Honda valued at $15,000 for the RYBA to raffle off this season. Tickets donations are only $10 each and 100% of the proceeds will go back into the Roswell youth baseball program.

The Holy Innocents' Fine Arts Alliance and Parents' Association will present the first annual Jingle Bell Jubilee (JBJ) on Saturday, December 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, December 5, 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the HIES Main Gym. www.hies.org/jinglebelljubilee

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than to party for a cause.Join Honda Carland Roswell in supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. On Saturday, March 13th, Georgia had an opportunity to do just that. Shamrockin for a Cure was held at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Alpharetta. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that causes a variety of health problems, including difficulty breathing. Many patients are diagnosed by age 2, endure constant medical treatments to control their symptoms, then die of lung failure in their 30’s. CF affects about 30,000 children and adults in the U.S., making it one of the most common life-shortening hereditary diseases in America. Shamrockin for a Cure 2010 is your opportunity to have fun and help current and future Cystic Fibrosis patients and their families.
