The Honda Accord Crosstour is Honda’s latest vehicle platform.  The Crosstour combines the sportiness of the standard Honda Accord with the storage and roominess of the Honda’s award winning SUVs.     The marriage of the two results in an all around versatile and stylish package.    Unlike other crossover vehicles, the crosstour is not simply a small SUV stuffed onto a truck chassis.  It is designed from the ground up to be a revolutionary new vehicle that encompasses the best technology Honda has to offer.  Honda Carland of Roswell is proud to be one of the first Honda dealerships in Atlanta to be able to provide its customers with this exciting new vehicle.  Many Atlanta natives may remember a time when Honda Carland sold the Accord Wagon.  We are proud to say that the Crosstour is everything that the Accord Wagon was and more.  More horsepower, better safety, and more refined styling.  The one thing that hasn’t changed over the years is Honda’s rock solid reliability.

Crosstour Safety Features

Honda Accord Crosstour side curtain airbagsHonda Engineers always start the design process with passenger safety at the forefront of their mind and maintain this thinking throughout the design process.   The Crosstour is no exception.  Unlike some manufacturer’s, Honda does not believe safety to be an “option” or “upgrade”.  As such, each version of the Crosstour comes standard with both front and side curtain airbags with rollover sensors. 

The Crosstour also helps to protect you in rear-end impacts with Honda’s revolutionary Active Head Restraint system.  In the unfortunate event of a rear impact the head restraint system will move forward to reduce the risk of neck injury or whiplash.
 
Active head Restraint SystemIt is one thing to make sure passengers are protected in an accident, but it’s even better to avoid the accident all together.  Each Crosstour also comes standard with 4 Wheel Disc Anti Lock Brakes (ABS), Automatic Brake Assist, Vehicle stability Assist with Traction Control, and an Electronic Brake Distribution System.  The combination of these systems helps to give you the best possible braking and handling performance under every situation.    It is systems like these that can make that can make a world of difference in Atlanta’s grueling traffic.  Honda also goes one step further to help drivers remember those too often forgotten but all too important small things like buckling your seatbelt and checking your tire pressure.   If either is forgotten, the Crosstour’s electronic safety systems give you a friendly reminder to do so.

Crosstour Performance

Don’t let the sophisticated look fool you.  The Crosstour has just as much power as you would get with a sports sedan.  The Crosstour comes equipped with Honda’s 3.5L iVTEC V6 that produces a whopping 271HP and 254 foot-lbs of torque.   When mated with the available all-wheel-drive system, the potent combination makes for a driving experience that can only be described as exhilarating.  Being a pioneer in the auto industry means always evolving, and Honda has always been known as an evolutionary company.  The 3.5L engine in the Accord Crosstour is equipped with Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management Technology (VCM).  This groundbreaking features allows the Crosstour’s on-board computer to turn off some the vehicles cylinders when maximum power output is not required.   The end result is a vehicle with an extraordinary amount of power and a best of class fuel efficiency.  When paired with Honda’s efficient 5-speed automatic transmission, the end result is a crossover capable of 27mpg on the highway, and 18mpg in the city.  This gives the Crosstour a highway range of nearly 500 miles on a single tank.
